Toddler Room

Our Toddler Room is a warm, caring and fun environment where children feel safe, valued and encouraged to become confident, independent learners. We provide a welcoming space full of exciting opportunities for exploration, discovery and play, helping every child to thrive during this important stage of development.

Following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, we deliver a broad and balanced curriculum that supports all seven areas of learning. Our experienced practitioners carefully observe each child, identify their individual interests and next steps, and plan meaningful activities that promote progress while ensuring learning remains enjoyable and engaging.

Children have access to a range of well-planned learning areas including creative activities, small world play, construction, mark making, role play, sensory experiences and cosy spaces for sharing stories and quiet reflection. Resources are easily accessible, encouraging children to make independent choices, develop confidence and follow their own interests.

Our curriculum is designed to build children’s knowledge and skills over time.

Through play-based learning, children are encouraged to develop language, build friendships, solve problems, become creative thinkers and gain independence. Daily routines, adult-led experiences and child-initiated play provide opportunities for children to practise new skills and consolidate their learning.

We celebrate every child’s achievements and work closely with families to ensure learning is personalised to meet each child’s needs. By following our curriculum and planning from children’s next steps, we ensure every child is appropriately challenged and supported to make good progress towards the EYFS outcomes.
